The Missouri Pacific Lines in Color
Joe G. Collias

MM Books, 1993; 0-9612366-3-9

For Missouri Pacific fans, Joe Collias needs no introduction, he has authored several hardbound books covering steam operations and his first Mopac book 'Mopac Power' came out in 1980. This 142 page, hardbound book has over 240 all color photographs, covering the blue and grey freight and passenger 1st generation diesels, black switchers (including many of the rarely photographed 44-tonners), 1st and 2nd generation Jenks blue diesels and the post merger Mopac orders of UP Armour yellow diesels. Photos also cover wood and steel Mopac cabooses, freight cars, ART reefers, Eagle passenger trains and Colonial yellow and brown and later white painted stations. Joe has broken up the photos and captions with period passenger train advertising. Modelers will appreciate the overviews of Kirkwood, Omaha, St. Louis Union Station for their details.
